Where we are now - Background to the Project - 2007

Planning submission not yet reached committee. Anticipating an early 2008 decision with a subsequent delayed start date. Noted that it was difficult to keep up amalgamation morale if new build date remains unknown.

 

3rd October 2007
The planning application for the new school submitted to planning August 2007, anticipate a decision prior to Christmas 2007, with work due to start on site in February 2008. Anticipated entry date spring 2009

 

14th June 2007 - at Hillhead High between 7.00 - 9.00pm

Interest groups, local residents and business are encouraged to attend the event on the 14th June.

 

12th June 2007- at Hillhead High between 7.00 - 9.00pm

Parents and school community / users are encouraged to attend the event on the 12th June

 

June/July 2007

The planning application for the new school is due to be submitted in June/July 2007 with work due to start on site in February 2008.

 

21st May 2007 

Meeting held with the  school in the park parent’s forum, the project leads from the council and the project leads from JM architects. The aim of the meeting was to have an update presentation from the project leads (drawings shared ) followed by a discussion around the consultation process, timescales and to gain some understanding of where the group  may be able to feed into any process.

Engaged with the Lighthouse design for learning: Schools for the 21st Century Project

 

18th Feb 07

Parents from 4 schools & 2 nurseries forum meet to establish interim parent’s forum with the aim of achieving the best possible school for our children
